About the Role

We're looking for a Customer Quality Specialist to join our team in Napier, New Zealand, within the Smart Power Division of the Electrification Business Area. This onsite position involves supporting quality initiatives locally and globally, with stakeholders including management, cross-functional teams, customers, and quality functions across New Zealand, Asia, Europe, and North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and resolve customer quality cases by conducting thorough root cause analysis followed by implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support quality management communications relevant to the assigned area of responsibility.
- Continuously identify and mitigate risks and take advantage of opportunities related to quality within the local organization.
- Analyze organizational quality data to detect risks, failures, and non-conforming issues.
Team Environment
You will be part of a committed, collaborative team focused on quality excellence, contributing to impactful local and international quality projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in quality management or assurance, familiar with quality processes, product compliance, and relevant tools.
- Proficient knowledge of quality management systems and associated methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or ISO standards, preferably with exposure to power, semiconductor, or data center sectors.
- Strong analytical skills using quality data software and management platforms to evaluate quality indicators and outcomes.
- Demonstrated passion for continuous improvement, customer-centric problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Educational background in Quality Management, Engineering, or equivalent, supported by a proven quality track record.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Preferred possession of current quality professional certifications like CQE or ASQ valid in New Zealand.
- Ability to adapt work hours based on customer needs and priorities, particularly during critical customer situations.
