Position Overview

We are seeking a Crypto Trader specializing in derivatives to contribute to the expansion of our trading team in Abu Dhabi. This position involves ensuring optimal trade execution for our clients while driving revenue growth. The role offers the opportunity to engage dynamically with the fast-evolving cryptocurrency markets in collaboration with a team of seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and strengthen partnerships with crypto exchanges, financial institutions, trading counterparties, and technology providers.
Support the establishment of trading systems and operational protocols for the Abu Dhabi Global Market entity.
Collaborate with software developers to build intuitive user- and business-focused applications.
Coordinate closely with the Swiss trading and brokerage teams to maintain seamless integration across markets and counterparties.
Execute spot and derivative orders prioritizing clients' best interests.
Oversee position monitoring across exchanges, over-the-counter desks, and custodial services.
Manage collateral portfolios and conduct margin call executions.
Identify and pursue opportunities to broaden the derivatives product range.
Engage in projects aimed at enhancing trading products and operational procedures.
Align treasury operations with strategic financial planning and company objectives.
Support client-facing teams during meetings with relationship managers and sales personnel.
Perform daily reconciliations and manage other operational trading tasks.
Generate various trade-related reports regularly.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, mathematics, or related fields.
Prior experience as a trader focusing on derivatives such as futures, options, and structured financial products is essential.
In-depth understanding of financial markets, cryptocurrency assets, and trading mechanics.
Knowledge of reconciliation, custody, and payment workflows is advantageous.
Keen interest in crypto markets with familiarity of crypto exchanges preferred.
Prepared to work during evening shifts and weekends when necessary.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Dependable, proactive, and collaborative team member.
Entrepreneurial approach with a penchant for identifying new business avenues.
Ability to work autonomously, maintain initiative, and remain composed under pressure.
Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional languages are beneficial.
