About the Role
A prominent Shipping and Logistics organization in Singapore is expanding its team and is on the lookout for experienced professionals to join as a Cost Audit Analyst. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to help maintain financial accuracy and operational transparency within assigned program scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive reviews and reconciliations of invoices, ensuring accuracy and detailed issue tracking.
- Cross-verify invoice information with system data, contractual agreements, and master data to detect inconsistencies.
- Classify and investigate discrepancies including incorrect cost coding, rate differences, stay day errors, and deviations from standard operating procedures.
- Maintain organized documentation such as review files, evidence logs, and issue trackers to guarantee audit readiness and transparency.
- Report recurring and exceptional issues to management to facilitate prompt corrective actions.
- Compile and present reports on findings, emerging trends, and status updates for management oversight.
- Participate in improving standard operating procedures, monitoring key performance indicators, and advancing process efficiencies.
- Assist in automation and data validation initiatives by structuring review rules and categorizing exception types.
- Work independently on assigned tasks while coordinating effectively across cross-functional teams.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields is required.
- Between 2 to 5 years of professional experience within accounting, audit, accounts payable, internal control, compliance, shared services, or finance operations.
- Demonstrated skills in account reconciliation, verifying supporting documents, and detailed issue documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and managing large transaction datasets.
- Experience with invoice validation, audit controls, accounts payable processes, or cost governance is advantageous.
