Job Summary
The Executive Director of Corporate Strategy Execution is pivotal within the organization's strategic planning and implementation framework, charged with driving strategic goal realization, overseeing strategic projects, spearheading business transformation initiatives, and facilitating interdepartmental collaboration.
Reporting generally to the CEO, Senior Vice President of Strategy, Strategy Committee, or President, this role bridges strategic formulation and operational delivery by developing actionable plans, monitoring project progress, optimizing resource deployment, and nurturing organizational alignment to meet long-term strategic targets effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop annual execution plans tied to corporate strategy; convert long-term strategic intents into operational objectives, actionable steps, and timelines; institute a priority management system for strategic milestones; assist leadership in realizing strategic outcomes.
- Oversee strategic project planning, coordination, and execution; implement project management frameworks to monitor timelines, resources, budgets, and risks; ensure projects are completed timely and to high standards.
- Set up and maintain evaluation systems to track strategic KPIs, OKRs, and other performance indicators; identify deviations and recommend corrective actions; provide regular execution status reports to senior leadership.
- Champion business transformation efforts including process optimizations and organizational restructuring; aid in developing and executing change management strategies; tackle challenges during strategy execution cycles; enhance market responsiveness.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration involving strategy, operations, finance, marketing, product development, R&D, sales, and HR to drive integrated strategic initiatives; foster resource sharing, synergy, and resolve strategic execution bottlenecks.
- Perform detailed business data analyses and strategic assessments; study industry trends and market opportunities; prepare comprehensive reports for executive decision-making support.
- Refine strategic processes and execution standards; improve communication and decision protocols; advance a culture of execution excellence; elevate organizational maturity in strategy implementation.
- Build and develop a high-performing strategic execution team; nurture leadership in strategy and transformation roles; cultivate a results-oriented corporate culture enhancing strategic management capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Economics, Operations or Project Management, or related disciplines; MBA, EMBA, or a Master’s in Strategic Management preferred.
- Extensive professional background (20+ years) in corporate strategy, operations, project oversight, or business transformation roles; at least 8 to 15 years focused on strategy execution, corporate growth initiatives, or senior project leadership.
- Proven track record in strategy implementation within large enterprises, multinational corporations, or rapidly growing companies, including expertise in corporate and digital transformation, process optimization, and substantial project deployments.
