Job Overview
As a Computer Operator at FNB Namibia, you will conduct essential computer operations including incident management, system performance tracking, daily system start-up and shutdown procedures, and routine backup and restoration processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Enhance operational efficiency by identifying and implementing cost-effective solutions.
- Deliver flawless, consistent, and seamless service to ensure high client retention and satisfaction.
- Proactively resolve client inquiries related to Computer Intelligence by monitoring alerts, tracking exceptions, and coordinating with support teams to maintain continuous system health.
- Adhere strictly to governance, audit, and legislative requirements.
- Reduce system downtime through vigilant monitoring and planning to prevent recurrent issues.
- Continuously monitor all online systems and services, addressing irregularities promptly to prevent outages.
- Manage Mainframe system shutdowns and Initial Program Loads (IPLs) effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a relevant certificate or diploma.
- Experience of 1 to 3 years as a Computer Operator, preferably with 2 years or more in core banking systems.
