Position Overview

This is a full-time remote position for a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer at Turn5 Design Group. The chosen candidate will be responsible for producing, editing, and keeping up-to-date comprehensive 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for diverse design and construction undertakings. Duties include interpreting design briefs and specifications, generating precise construction documentation, and working closely with design engineers and other collaborators to ensure adherence to project criteria and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and revise detailed CAD drawings and 3D models supporting various construction and design projects.
• Accurately interpret design concepts and technical specifications into practical drawings suitable for fabrication or construction.
• Collaborate with engineers and project team members to resolve design inquiries and align deliverables with project needs.
• Regularly update and maintain organized drawing files and documentation based on feedback from stakeholders.
• Contribute to enhancing design processes and ensure all outputs comply with industry codes, standards, and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise with CAD software, capable of producing precise digital drawings and models.
• Solid experience in technical drawing and creation of construction documents.
• Strong skills in visual representation, enabling clear communication of design concepts.
• Understanding of design engineering principles and their impact on functional and structural results.
• Background in design, drafting, architecture, engineering, or a closely related discipline; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Self-motivated and efficient with remote work, possessing excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards and regulations.

Compensation

The compensation ranges between $30 and $50 per hour, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
