Role Overview

The Compliance Analyst will aid in the design, execution, and continuous refinement of Fanatics Betting & Gaming's regulatory compliance system as the business grows in Canada. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining compliance frameworks suitable for international operations.
  • Draft and update internal policies, procedures, control measures, and documents to uphold regulatory compliance.
  • Help implement monitoring programs and operational controls throughout the organization.
  • Support licensing, audits, and regulatory examinations with gaming authorities and lawmakers.
  • Coordinate with multiple internal departments such as Product, Payments, Marketing, Operations, Responsible Gaming, and Legal to ensure conformity with regulations and industry norms.
  • Track and report regulatory changes affecting multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) compliance framework based on FINTRAC and relevant legislation.
  • Assist in customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity escalation.
  • Prepare and maintain regulatory reports and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct compliance tests, ongoing monitoring, and risk assessments to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities in workflows to minimize compliance risk.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and maintain clear communications.
  • Provide compliance support for new product introductions and geographical expansion efforts.
  • Offer continual guidance and support on compliance matters across the organization.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, AML, risk management, operations, audit, or regulatory support roles.
