About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and visionary Community Leader to join our thriving Baranduda Centre as both an Educational Leader and Assistant Director. In this dual leadership role, you will collaborate with another Community Leader to foster quality educational practices, mentor fellow educators, and support the daily operations of the centre. Together, you will help shape an inclusive and empowerment-focused environment where educators, children, and families flourish.

Key Responsibilities

As Community Leader, you will play a crucial role in guiding and mentoring educators, supporting the Centre Manager, and stepping in as needed to liaise with the Area Manager. Your oversight will extend to direct reports such as administrative staff, cooks, and cleaners. A significant portion of your work involves accountability for maintaining excellence in the Education Program and Practice as well as engaging educators in their professional growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution in line with ACECQA standards.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • Certification in emergency response including procedures for anaphylaxis and asthma management.
  • Completed Child Protection training.
  • Minimum of 3 years in leadership roles within Early Childhood Services, or 5 years working experience in the field.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop curriculum, manage administrative tasks, and effectively engage with parents and community stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and child care compliance systems, including understanding of Child Care Subsidy requirements.
  • Comprehensive familiarity with the National Quality Framework.
  • Willingness to undertake the responsibilities of a Nominated Supervisor under relevant legislation.
