Cloud Solution Architect

About the Role

Cradlepoint, part of Ericsson, is a leading global provider of cloud-managed LTE and 5G wireless network solutions designed to offer secure, scalable connectivity for enterprises, public sector, and service providers. This role focuses on leading cloud-native platform architecture and enterprise infrastructure management to support digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and operate CNIS platforms including Kubernetes, container runtimes, and cloud infrastructure components end-to-end.
• Oversee Cloud Container Distribution (CCD) lifecycle activities such as provisioning, upgrades, backups, recovery, and disaster readiness.
• Perform routine CCD health validation, track capacity, analyze configuration drifts, and ensure multi-cluster environment integrity.
• Collaborate with application and platform teams to onboard workloads and provide platform-level support.
• Monitor system performance using tools like Prometheus and Grafana, maintaining detailed operational documentation including runbooks and MOPs.
• Define architecture standards, platform design principles, governance, and conduct design reviews and capacity planning for CNIS and CCD.
• Lead modernization and transformation projects including platform lifecycle management, automation (IaC, GitOps), and observability implementations.
• Lead disaster recovery planning, execution, and investigate major incidents with root cause analysis.
• Design and oversee Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI) across compute, storage, and networking, including technologies such as SDN, Calico, Multus, and container networking.
• Architect scalable storage solutions leveraging Ceph, SDS, CSI drivers, and persistent storage mechanisms.
• Integrate infrastructure components spanning CNIS, SDI, storage, and networking layers.
• Maintain enterprise networking with hands-on management of Juniper and Extreme Networks switches, including SDN integration, VLAN/trunk/ACL configuration, firmware upgrades, backup/restores, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, handling cluster configurations, LVM, multipathing, patch and firmware management, scheduling backups, performance tuning, SAN integration, and hardware troubleshooting on HP and Dell servers.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10 years professional experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud-native platforms, enterprise architecture, and networking.
• Advanced expertise in Kubernetes ecosystems, CNIS, CCD, container technologies, and platform engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Software Defined Infrastructure technologies and enterprise networking protocols.
• Hands-on experience with SDN solutions, container networking, and storage architectures.
• Proven Linux system administration skills, especially with RHEL and associated enterprise storage and hardware troubleshooting.

Candidates must hold any graduate degree.

Location

The role is based in Hyderabad or Bangalore, India. Mumbai is mentioned but primary onsite locations are Hyderabad and Bangalore.
