Job Summary

The Cleaner/Sorter plays a vital part in waste diversion by maintaining cleanliness and sorting materials efficiently. This role involves supporting plant operations through various cleaning tasks and ensuring materials are properly inspected and separated.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning operations on plant equipment, pits, and recycled bales.
• Sort and inspect materials, placing items into assigned locations.
• Remove contaminants from the sorting line to maintain product quality.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean work environment.
• Adhere to safety protocols by consistently using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
• Maintain impeccable attendance, safety records, and quality standards.

Job Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, comprehend, and respond to instructions, questions, safety signage, and training.
• Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Availability to work overtime when necessary, typically between 44 to 48.5 hours weekly.
