Role Overview

Join our Barnsley Schools team as a Cleaner at Astrea Academy Dearne located on Goldthorpe Road, Goldthorpe, Doncaster S63 9EW. This role is on-site and integral in maintaining clean, safe, and compliant learning environments across 11 schools under the Barnsley Schools Private Finance Initiative.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The position offers a wage of £13.45 per hour, working 10.75 hours weekly with early morning shifts:

• Monday: 5:30 am – 7:30 am
• Tuesday to Thursday: 5:30 am – 7:15 am
• Friday: 5:30 am – 7:30 am

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver cleaning services as per contractual standards ensuring high-quality environments for all building users
• Manage and monitor stock levels; order supplies as necessary
• Operate cleaning machinery safely following training and guidelines
• Support local and business zero carbon programs by working strategically toward environmental goals
• Maintain health and safety standards across the contract
