Job summary
We are looking for a customer-oriented Chat Support Representative to join a remote team and handle customer communication through live chat and other online messaging tools. In this home-based role, you will deliver fast, accurate assistance, answer questions, address concerns, share information about products and services, and help create a smooth customer experience. The role suits someone with excellent written communication skills who can manage multiple tasks in a busy remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Handle customer questions and requests via live chat and messaging channels.
- Share clear, correct information about products, services, policies, and processes.
- Resolve customer issues in a timely manner while staying courteous and professional.
- Support customers with account changes, order tracking, billing questions, and general service needs.
- Record customer conversations accurately in CRM tools and internal systems.
- Send complicated cases to the relevant team when needed.
- Check in with customers to confirm their concerns have been properly resolved.
- Work toward response-time, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Protect confidential customer and company data.
- Join virtual meetings, training sessions, and continuous learning activities.
- Carry out other admin and customer support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Experience in chat support, customer service, call centers, or admin support is useful but not mandatory.
- Strong writing, grammar, and typing abilities are essential.
- Good customer service instincts and problem-solving skills are needed.
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and web-based tools, is expected.
- Prior use of CRM systems or live chat software is an advantage.
- Must be able to work independently and manage several tasks in a remote setup.
- Strong attention to detail and good organization are important.
