About the Company
Decoding Me is pioneering India's first Career Exploration platform focused on enabling school students to independently make well-informed career decisions. The platform emphasizes experiential learning through interactions with industry professionals and reflective self-exploration methods, completely avoiding traditional tests or prescriptive advice.
Role Overview
This position involves being based at DPS Nashik as a Career Exploration In-Charge. You will collaborate closely with the Decoding Me leadership, including direct reporting to the founder. The role is integral in empowering young learners by facilitating interactive and research-backed career guidance that encourages autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed research into various occupations including their educational pathways and required skill sets that are incorporated into Decoding Me's curriculum.
- Lead workshops designed for groups of students and parents to promote engagement and disseminate career-related knowledge.
- Offer tailored one-on-one counseling sessions addressing the specific needs of students and parents regarding career choices.
- Source, recruit, and manage industry professionals primarily around Varanasi to share practical career insights with students.
- Serve as the main liaison among the school administration, students, parents, industry experts, and the Decoding Me leadership team to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
Eligibility Criteria
- Preferred: Minimum of two years of professional experience in any sector, with career counseling experience regarded as an advantage.
- Applicants returning to work after a career break are encouraged to apply.
- No strict educational qualifications required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: ₹300,000 to ₹500,000.
- Female employees receive one non-transferable period leave per month unless it coincides with long holidays or weekends.
- For missing scheduled classes, a deduction of one day's pay is enforced; however, unlimited leaves are permitted if classes are not missed.
Additional Information
The role requires a minimum commitment of one year with the hope that the impact and engagement will encourage a longer tenure. Immediate start date is preferred.
