About the Position
Airnorth is looking for a seasoned and dedicated aviation professional to become a Cabin Crew Team Leader based in Darwin, Northern Territory. Reporting directly to the Manager Inflight Services, this role demands leading the Cabin Crew team with day-to-day oversight, operational assistance, and guidance to uphold outstanding safety, customer service, and professionalism standards throughout all operations.
Role Overview
The Cabin Crew Team Leader is pivotal in backing the Cabin Crew team to maintain operational excellence. This position includes leadership responsibilities on and off the aircraft, fostering a positive team environment, coaching, mentoring, and setting an example in all aspects of customer service and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and ongoing support to Cabin Crew members during flights and on ground duties.
- Model excellent customer service and cultivate a robust safety culture within the team.
- Serve as the liaison between Cabin Crew and the Manager Inflight Services, delivering insights and operational feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures, and aviation regulatory standards.
- Coach and mentor crew members to enhance performance, morale, and engagement.
- Handle conflict resolution involving crew and passengers as necessary.
- Evaluate service standards and lead initiatives for continuous quality improvement.
- Collect and relay passenger feedback to improve the customer travel experience.
- Support crew welfare and wellbeing, especially during overnight layovers.
- Represent Airnorth at official accommodation sites during night stops.
- Participate in Cabin Crew meetings and support operational enhancement projects.
- Maintain professionalism, ethical conduct, and integrity at all times.
Candidate Profile
- Experience working as Cabin Crew in a commercial airline setting.
- Proven leadership, supervisory, or mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with effective planning and problem-solving talent.
- Aptitude for coaching and motivating teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to thrive collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-moving operational environment.
Mandatory Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Current First Aid certification.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) accreditation.
- Valid passport enabling unrestricted international travel.
