Job description
Overview
This role involves sourcing, onboarding, activating, and supporting retail merchants onto the PayNearby UPI Cash Point platform. The goal is to ensure exceptional merchant acquisition, maintain compliance, and guarantee consistent transaction engagement.
Key Duties
- Identify and engage potential retail merchants within designated areas.
- Present and explain the benefits of the PayNearby UPI Cash Point solution to merchants.
- Onboard new merchants by performing digital KYC, collecting documents, assisting with app installation, and confirming activation.
- Help merchants complete their first successful transaction on the platform.
- Install branding materials like ATM/Cash Point signage and display sanctioned marketing collateral to boost brand visibility.
- Adhere strictly to KYC protocols, prevent duplicate or fraudulent registrations, capture GPS-tagged photographs of merchants, and maintain precise records.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum education of a graduate degree.
- Between 1 to 5 years experience in field sales, merchant acquisition, financial services, fintech, or banking sectors.
- Preference for candidates with prior roles in fintech/digital payments, including companies such as Paytm-CSC, PhonePe (Premium Executive), Pine Labs, MSwipe or assisted banking institutions like HDFC Corporate BC, Airtel Payment Bank, Spice Money, or Fino Payments Bank.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Proficiency with Android smartphones.
- Must have access to a two-wheeler for mobility.
- Experience in merchant acquisition and digital onboarding processes.
- Familiarity with KYC documentation standards.
- Effective territory management skills.
- Fluency in the local language is essential for effective communication.
