Business Analyst - Financial Reporting & Control

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a premier financial services company based in Dublin for a six-month rolling contract. This individual will be instrumental in delivering strategic projects concerning a vital financial reporting and control solution within the context of global banking and investment markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the business analysis efforts for an essential financial reporting and control system.
• Engage closely with stakeholders across business functions, finance, operations, and technology departments to ensure alignment.
• Collect, document, and validate detailed business requirements and functional design specifications.
• Support end-to-end project delivery through each phase of the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and support fellow Business Analysts within the team.
• Participate actively in problem-solving activities and assist with complex issue resolution.
• Collaborate with development and support teams to diagnose and address complex production challenges.
• Guarantee that implemented solutions comply with financial reporting and control standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Established experience working as a Business Analyst in global banking and investment markets.
• Comprehensive understanding of investment banking products and associated business workflows.
• Strong foundation in financial accounting principles and customary financial reporting processes.
• Hands-on involvement throughout the full project lifecycle—gathering requirements, supporting delivery, testing, and deployment.
• Self-driven and proactive attitude towards independently resolving issues.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with financial reporting or control software platforms.
• Familiarity with regulatory or management reporting environments.
• Prior exposure to working alongside development and support teams in live production settings.
