Business Analyst, Advanced Operations Solutions (Systems)

About the Role

AIA Singapore invites a Business Analyst to facilitate the execution and realization of system enhancement projects. This role involves managing both strategic initiatives and routine business improvements to ensure technology solutions fully meet evolving business demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of strategic and day-to-day system enhancement projects.
• Work closely with stakeholders to map current business processes and design future state workflows incorporating clear rules and defined solutions.
• Ensure thorough, precise, and adaptable business requirements documentation.
• Collaborate with Technology teams to appraise potential solutions and recommend optimal choices.
• Convert business needs into detailed UAT test cases, conditions, and expected results.
• Manage and carry out User Acceptance Testing in line with established strategies; oversee defect tracking and resolution.
• Monitor project timelines, progress milestones, and proactively escalate issues or risks.
• Contribute to detailed project planning including coordination of timelines and resources.
• Mentor junior team members and testers during UAT activities.
• Assist in business readiness efforts by preparing and reviewing training resources.
• Champion continuous process improvements using structured problem-solving techniques to enhance quality and efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Business IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in Life & Health Insurance Operations, with preference for policy servicing expertise.
• Well-versed in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Business Analysis and managing User Acceptance Testing.
• Strong analytical, logical problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality delivery.
• Capable of independent work and effective teamwork.
• Comfortable in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
• Positive mindset eager to learn, share knowledge, and continuously improve.
• Experience with Integral Life (Life 400/Asia AS400) systems preferred.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Qualifications or familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred, with a focus on identifying and driving incremental improvements.
