Job Overview
HDFC Bank is actively hiring Branch Sales Managers in Bangalore at various locations including Indiranagar 100 Feet Road, Kaggadaspura, and BEML Gate Circle. Candidates with a minimum of 5 years experience in banking and wealth management are preferred. The interviewing will take place on 12th August 2026 between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM at HDFC Bank, 548/D Maruthi Mansion, CMH Road, Indiranagar, Bangalore (Branch Code - 184).
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive acquisition of new current account customers at the branch.
- Ensure activation and continuous value growth within the current account customer portfolio.
- Focus on increasing customer wallet share through cross-selling personal banking and investment products aligned with customer segments.
- Meet retail current account acquisition targets as per branch plans, adapting product mix accordingly.
- Monitor portfolio health by onboarding, activating accounts, value build-up, and maintaining Average Quarterly Balance (AQB).
- Prepare detailed customer profiles to understand client businesses and needs.
- Maintain regular engagement with customers via visits and proactive resolution of queries.
- Minimize attrition through oversight of customer balances and satisfaction.
- Utilize profile-based selling to enhance cross-selling of value-add products and acquire new-to-bank liability customers through referrals.
- Support branch catchment area profiling for current account potential in collaboration with sales teams.
- Conduct marketing and lead-generation activities jointly with other asset departments to enhance current account sourcing.
- Increase penetration of savings account, fixed deposits, recurring deposits, and digital banking solutions linked to current accounts.
- Implement central initiatives on value build-up, cross-selling, and portfolio monitoring aligned with branch sales processes.
- Collaborate with central product teams to customize product features for better suitability to the portfolio and provide feedback on competitive positioning, opportunities, and portfolio quality.
- Ensure procedural compliance by verifying proper form completion and adherence to turnaround times.
Qualifications and Skills
- Any graduate eligible to apply; post-graduate qualifications are a plus.
- Certifications such as NISM V-A, IRDA, NCFM (optional), CAIIB (optional), Internal certifications, and GI certification are advantageous.
- Fundamental knowledge of banking products and services is essential.
- Strong relationship management, presentation, communication, and influencing skills are critical.
- Prior experience in banking sales or relationship management roles, including branch or other financial services sectors, is preferred.
