Role overview
This role focuses on building and maintaining BIM models for transportation assignments, including roads, highways, rail networks, metro systems, and bridges. The position is based on project or office premises in Bengaluru.
Experience and qualification
The employer is looking for someone with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience. A Diploma or a B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
Core responsibilities
- Create and manage BIM models for transportation infrastructure such as roads, highways, railways, metro corridors, and bridges.
- Produce accurate 3D models, drawings, and construction documentation with BIM software.
- Work closely with design engineers and other disciplines to maintain model accuracy and avoid clashes.
- Apply BIM standards, workflows, and quality assurance checks throughout the modelling process.
- Generate quantities, drawings, and reports directly from the BIM models.
- Assist project teams during both the design phase and the construction phase.
Software requirements
The role calls for hands-on use of Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Experience with BIM 360 or ACC is preferred.
Key skills and working style
The candidate should understand transportation design fundamentals and standards, have exposure to BIM execution plans and coordination, and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders. The job also requires the ability to stay aligned with project timelines and quality expectations.
