Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Baggerfahrer position in Leipzig. The role is aimed at experienced machine operators who are ready to take on responsible work in a construction environment and, if needed, develop further toward work in the rail-related two-way excavator area.

Responsibilities

• Operate and steer modern hydraulic excavators on construction sites.
• Receive targeted training and onboarding for work in the track area.
• Assist with earthmoving, excavation, and loading tasks.
• Carry out care, maintenance, and routine checks on machinery.
• Ensure safety standards and work quality on site.

Requirements

• Several years of practical experience operating excavators in civil engineering, road construction, or earthworks.
• Good technical understanding and confident handling of machines.
• Interest in gaining a new qualification for two-way excavators and rail construction work.
• Strong teamwork, reliability, responsibility, and motivation to keep learning.
• Driving licence class B; class C/CE is considered an advantage.
• Willingness to work on site away from home and occasionally on weekends.
• German language skills at minimum B2 level.
• Resilience and the ability to work well in a team.
