Job description
About the Role
We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate in Supply Chain Management to manage end-to-end supply chain processes, including global sourcing, procurement, and vendor management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Request for Quotation (RFQ), purchase order creation, costing, material requirement planning (MRP), and customer coordination, specifically within molding, plastics, EMS, or automobile sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the quotation workflow from initial receipt through submission to customers, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.
- Review customer files and quotations thoroughly, completing checklists and informing internal sales representatives of any missing attachments in quote packages.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team to obtain clear and accurate external quotations necessary for customer quotations.
- Consolidate all received data into comprehensive summaries, which will be submitted to management.
- Create and maintain databases for tracking pending and completed quotations to facilitate oversight and follow-up procedures.
- Collaborate with sales teams to obtain feedback on quotations and update accordingly.
- Support the Inside Sales Account Manager by monitoring the supply chain from the factory to end customer, identifying deviations from schedules and enabling timely corrective action.
- Liaise internally to address service requests, inquiries, and customer complaints efficiently.
- Assist customers with pricing inquiries, product availability checks, order status updates, and shipment tracking.
- Execute orders by processing incoming customer purchase orders and generating internal sales orders in line with company policies.
- Carry out additional tasks as delegated by the reporting manager.
Preferred Background
Experience in molding and plastics industries, electronic manufacturing services (EMS), and automotive sectors is advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge
- Expertise in global sourcing and strategic procurement processes.
- Comprehensive understanding of RFQ, purchase order management, and procure-to-pay cycles.
- Proficiency in vendor relationship management and costing techniques.
- Good grasp of material requirement planning (MRP) and Incoterms.
- Strong client and customer handling capabilities.
