Located on a 75-hectare private estate directly on a 3-kilometre natural Baltic Sea beach, it is designed as a refined retreat for guests seeking relaxation, spa experiences, and culinary enjoyment. The property is set in a peaceful rural environment and differs from a classic family hotel or grand hotel.

The estate is a historic gem in the coastal landscape of northern Germany. It is protected as a heritage site and has been carefully restored with traditional craftsmanship, authentic materials, and close attention to detail. The park-like grounds create the setting for the resort experience, while the suites, rooms, restaurants, and the award-winning castle spa are spread across ten buildings. Every building and guest room has its own individual character.

The Schlosstherme is one of the most highly decorated spa areas in Germany, and the resort is seeking an Assistant Spa Manager to support this flagship department.

Role overview

In this position, you will help ensure that the spa delivers a high-end experience to an international and discerning clientele. You will combine guest service, operational coordination, team support, and administrative responsibility while representing the standards and values of the spa.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional consultation and attentive care to international spa guests regarding treatments and products from the resort’s brand partners BABOR and Team Dr. Joseph.
• Act as a strong role model for the team and represent the spa’s values within the resort’s management circle.
• Maintain the atmosphere and service standards needed to create an excellent guest experience at the spa reception, on the phone, and throughout the spa area.
• Handle organisational and administrative tasks at the spa reception, including appointment scheduling, and support the achievement of budget targets.
• Assist specialist colleagues with the upkeep of the premium wellness area, including hygiene checks and technical rounds.
• Step in as a confident and empathetic supervisor for a bilingual team of 8 employees when required.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training and/or training in cosmetology, ideally paired with initial experience in a similar role in luxury holiday hospitality.
• Alternatively, motivated career changers are welcome if they are ready to take on leadership responsibility and learn thoroughly under close guidance.
• Industry knowledge in beauty and body treatments.
• Strong digital skills, ideally with prior use of spa software such as TAC.
• A positive presence and the ability to inspire both guests and colleagues.
• Confident yet warm communication and appearance.
• A goal-oriented, well-structured, and responsible way of working.
• Strong organisational ability, a high level of quality awareness, and genuine sales talent.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.
• Commitment and motivation to help shape and actively develop a multi-award-winning luxury resort.

Working conditions

This is a full-time onsite role in Göhl, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

The job follows a 5-day work week. No remote working arrangement is indicated.
