Assistant / Sales Manager - Logistics and Freight Forwarding

Our client is the newly formed Singapore subsidiary of a publicly listed Taiwanese logistics conglomerate employing over 1,500 staff across more than 80 locations worldwide, including Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Their extensive network includes almost 100 reliable agent partners delivering comprehensive freight services by air, sea, and land. The Singapore office, serving as a strategic Southeast Asian hub, is expanding its commercial division to unlock growth across diverse industry verticals.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As an Assistant / Sales Manager reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will spearhead new customer acquisition and accelerate business expansion. Your duties will encompass full sales cycle management from identifying and engaging prospects, through to devising tailored logistics solutions, negotiating terms, and closing deals. You will collaborate internally to develop value propositions that convert early-stage clients into enduring partners while driving sustained revenue and pipeline growth in targeted sectors.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years professional experience in sales, business development, or account management within the freight forwarding or logistics industry. Specialization or prior exposure in vertical markets such as retail, consumer goods/FMCG, or automotive will be advantageous. Deep understanding of international shipping procedures, customs clearance, and trade documentation is essential.

Compensation and Location

This is an onsite position located in East Singapore offering a competitive base salary of up to SGD 7,000 per month, augmented by annual wage supplements and quarterly incentive bonuses.
