Role Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable Assistant Nurse Manager to join our committed team at Mease Hospital Dunedin's Behavioral Health unit in Dunedin. This facility provides inpatient care within a secure and supportive setting that promotes recovery and healing for adults requiring intensive, short-term behavioral health treatment. The team delivers personalized and compassionate care focused on stabilization and well-being, operating as a Baker Act-receiving facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage patient care using proficient skills appropriate for the patient population.
- Support the Nurse Manager with supervisory duties including team member management, performance evaluations, hiring, counseling, and termination.
- Serve as a positive role model for team members and ensure clear communication of organizational policies and information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- Nurse specialty credentials are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in acute, post-acute, or sub-acute care settings.
- At least 1 year of leadership experience.
