Job description
Overview
The Assistant Manager in the Finance & Compliance team at a leading diversified infrastructure group plays an integral role in preparing accurate and timely financial statements, coordinating statutory audits, maintaining book hygiene, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly dashboards to monitor book hygiene and financial health.
- Review financial statements thoroughly and coordinate with site teams for process alignment.
- Examine invoices and service entry sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage the annual audit calendar and ensure all audits are conducted as per schedule.
- Oversee regulatory compliance related to related party transactions and maintain required approvals and limits.
- Lead end-to-end migration processes for newly acquired entities.
- Serve as a technical advisor to finance controllers and CFOs on financial matters.
- Conduct financial due diligence and analysis for target entities.
- Ensure internal control processes are followed and aligned with organizational policies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on business issues, cash flow planning, budgeting, MIS reporting, and provide necessary training.
- Promote best financial practices ensuring project governance and timely completion of initiatives.
- Validate compliance with group guidelines and facilitate annual report preparation.
- Monitor CAPEX expenditures and review capitalisations on time.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance and Ind AS accounting standards.
- Advanced skills with MS Office tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Chartered Accountant qualification with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
