Assistant Construction Manager

CBH Homes is looking for an Assistant Construction Manager to support its homebuilding operations in Meridian, Idaho. This position is suited to someone with solid new-home or general construction knowledge, strong multitasking ability, and the confidence to thrive in a busy, fast-moving construction setting. The role calls for hands-on construction experience, comfort working with subcontractors, strong discipline, and a professional, courteous presence while representing CBH Homes with teammates, trade partners, and anyone encountered on the job.

The company is currently undergoing a major move: a new headquarters is being built in Caldwell, Idaho, and this role will transition to that location in 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support construction management activities in a fast-paced new-home building environment.
• Work closely with subcontractors and trade partners to keep projects moving smoothly.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism when representing CBH Homes with coworkers, vendors, and visitors.
• Help coordinate day-to-day work on site while meeting deadlines, goals, and project expectations.
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with trade partners.
• Take initiative, stay organized, and contribute to overall construction excellence.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in an Assistant Construction Manager, Assistant Superintendent, or similar supervisory role in new-home construction.
• Strong understanding of multiple construction trades.
• Self-driven and highly motivated, with a clear commitment to quality and ownership.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve deadlines and objectives.
• Skilled at developing long-term relationships with trade partners.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Professional, courteous demeanor in all interactions.
