About the Role
Halo Design-Build in Miami, FL, invites applications for the position of Architectural Designer. This role focuses on creatively converting concepts into comprehensive, functional, and visually striking architectural designs. The selected candidate will lead project development from initial conceptual sketches to detailed construction documents, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budget constraints, and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create conceptual designs and precise architectural drawings utilizing software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Engage collaboratively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to fine-tune project scope and design objectives through productive negotiation and dialogue.
- Work directly with construction teams during the building phases to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the architectural design.
- Support business development endeavors by preparing detailed proposals, presentations, and participating in client meetings to generate new business opportunities.
- Prepare thorough construction documentation and contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and renovation standards.
- Leverage software tools such as Bluebeam and StackCT for document review, markup, and effective project team collaboration.
- Contribute to interior design projects by harmonizing aesthetic vision with functional demands across commercial and residential spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in architectural drafting, design development, and producing construction documentation with proficiency in CAD software (including AutoCAD), Revit, Chief Architect, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction workflows, including the fusion of exterior and interior design elements.
- Strong negotiation capabilities relevant to client and contractor communications.
- Familiarity with construction cost estimating techniques and budgeting to predict project financials accurately.
- Experience managing contracts and overseeing construction management tasks to ensure successful implementation of design plans.
- Ability to produce detailed drawings compliant with regulatory standards while retaining creative design vision.
- Excellent organizational skills paired with a proactive mindset to support business growth and strengthen client relationships.
