Role overview

Reid Brewin Architects is looking for a qualified architect to join its Frankfurt team in Germany. The practice was founded in Paris in 2006 and has grown into an international studio network with more than 200 people across London, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona and Frankfurt. The firm focuses on demanding, large-scale work, especially data centres, commercial offices and luxury retail projects, and combines technical precision with a design-led approach.

This position is aimed at an architect with strong design thinking and solid technical delivery skills who can contribute to major data centre work across Europe, including projects in France, the UK, Italy and other international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Handle projects across all stages with limited day-to-day supervision.
• Create early-stage concepts and communicate design ideas to clients and project stakeholders.
• Prepare technical design packs that comply with the relevant local codes, regulations and standards for each project.
• Develop tender and construction-stage documentation in full detail.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, specialist contractors and international design teams to keep coordination on track.
• Produce strong presentation material for client reviews and planning submissions.
• Spot design and technical issues early and work through practical solutions during the project lifecycle.
• Protect design standards, technical accuracy, budget control and on-time delivery.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant will be a qualified architect with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience. Experience on large-scale data centres, high-tech industrial buildings or commercial schemes is important, along with the ability to coordinate smoothly and manage client communication well.

You should be confident using Revit and have a solid working knowledge of German planning law, building regulations and technical standards. Fluency in both German and English is required; knowledge of additional European languages would be beneficial.
