Architect - SharePoint Administrator

Role Overview

This position focuses on serving as a SharePoint Administrator with comprehensive responsibilities surrounding Microsoft 365 (M365) administration and Power Platform environment management. The role involves user and group management, license allocation, integration setup, environment security, deployment processes, and cost optimization for licenses.

Primary Duties

• Administer user accounts and groups: create, update, and remove user accounts including service accounts, and reset passwords as required.
• Manage Microsoft 365 Security groups to control application and environment access, including assigning users to these groups through User Access Requests (UAR).
• Oversee Power Platform service accounts and manage license distribution, including premium M365 licenses.
• Configure SQL Data Gateways and handle necessary integrations for application needs.
• Assign and regulate various administrative roles within M365.
• Add and manage multiple domains within the M365 tenant.
• Monitor overall health and operational status of M365 services.
• Develop and enforce environment strategies alongside managing environment and application security using M365 Security groups, ensuring correct access levels for PowerApps, flows, and Dataverse tables.
• Implement and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies in Power Platform environments.
• Create and administer SharePoint sites with site access governed by M365 Security groups.
• Set up and manage SQL and other integration connections necessary for application development.
• Coordinate deployment of solutions through pipelines and managed solutions, ensuring change requests and documentation are duly approved before production deployment, and deployments are scheduled in compliance with IT guidelines.
• Manage service accounts and demonstrate knowledge regarding O365 license management and cost optimization.
• Perform analytics to assess usage of licenses across applications for cost-saving opportunities.
