Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate Appian BPM Developer with a proven track record of leading BPM implementations and automation projects. The ideal candidate will hold certifications for Appian L1, L2, and L3 and possess extensive expertise in designing, developing, and deploying Appian-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Technical Architect, leading the development, testing, and delivery of intelligent automation solutions utilizing top-tier vendor tools.
- Collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams within agile development frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Handle end-to-end Appian BPM implementations encompassing design, development, deployment, and packaging phases.
- Provide expertise in Appian Objects including Records, Reports, Tasks, News, Sites, Actions, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web API, Interface Rules, CDTs, Process Models, Decisions, Integrations, Connected Systems, Data Stores, Groups, and Feeds.
- Leverage sound knowledge of Appian Process, Solution, and Infrastructure Architecture, including In-Memory KDB Engines and scaling methodologies.
- Manage app servers (e.g., JBOSS, TOMCAT) and web servers such as Apache.
- Integrate with Web Services (SOAP and REST) and ESB tools like MuleSoft.
- Develop and maintain Appian Plugins including Smart Services, Function Plugins, Servlet Plugins, Connected Systems, and UI Component Plugins.
- Utilize Embedded SAIL for custom interfaces.
- Apply J2EE design patterns including JSPs, Java Servlets, EJBs, and JDBC.
- Implement CI/CD processes using technologies like Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, XLR, and SonarCube.
- Employ test automation tools such as Selenium and Tosca.
- Communicate effectively and conduct presentations to support consultants and clients, understanding their business challenges.
- Support engagement teams and management as an integral team member.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience working with Appian BPM platform in an industry setting.
- Mandatory certifications: Appian L1, L2, L3, and specifically Appian Lead Developer certification.
- Proven experience delivering robust Appian BPM solutions from design through deployment.
- Strong skills in web services integration and plugin development.
- Familiarity with application and web server configurations.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
