Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor life support systems critical to animal and plant habitats, supporting daily tasks within Curatorial and Maintenance teams.
• Oversee feeding schedules, animal and plant care, inventory management, and coordinate animal deliveries.
• Assist with medical treatments for flora and fauna, prepare specialized diets, and oversee nutrition management.
• Maintain and enhance animal exhibits, perform routine upkeep, and implement any required display changes.
• Lead educational guest interactions and animal encounters, providing informative commentary on the exhibits, animals, and presentations.
• Manage visitor flow with courteous, friendly, and efficient guest service.
• Adhere to operational standards and protocols, preparing detailed curatorial reports as necessary.
• Support preparation and facilitation of special events, themed evenings, and private functions.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a university degree or have equivalent professional experience of at least three years in a zoological or aquarium environment.
• Minimum of three years hands-on experience in related roles involving animal care and exhibit maintenance.
• Demonstrated knowledge in managing plant and animal wellbeing, and operating life support systems.
• Exhibit adaptability, a strong willingness to learn, and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
• Show initiative, work well within teams, and exhibit a persistent drive for achievement.
• Commit to exceptional guest service focusing on safety, courtesy, and educational value.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with animal nutrition, medical treatment procedures, and exhibit enhancement projects.
• Previous involvement in preparing formal curatorial documentation and conducting guest-facing educational sessions.
