Role Summary
The Academic Counsellor acts as a key guide for students throughout their education journey. Combining strong communication capabilities, persuasion skills, and technical familiarity with CRM systems, the counsellor helps students navigate academic programs and career options while driving enrollment and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise students on academic programs, career development, and skill enhancement options.
- Maintain and update student data using CRM solutions for consistent communication and timely follow-up.
- Promote student admissions by clearly conveying program advantages and resolving inquiries.
- Work closely with trainers, faculty, and operations staff to support new students and ensure their satisfaction.
- Participate in outreach activities such as webinars and workshops to attract prospective learners.
- Offer feedback to enhance counselling approaches and improve the training courses provided.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- One to four years’ experience working with CRM platforms.
- Prior involvement in IT sales or the EdTech sector.
- Excellent sales and persuasive communication skills, capable of establishing trust with students.
Preferred Competencies
- Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity to assist students interested in technology-focused careers.
- Adaptability in communication according to varied audience needs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle several tasks effectively.
