Role Overview
The Assistant Manager position at GWC is a full-time role based onsite in Doha, Qatar. This role involves supporting daily operations by coordinating logistics processes, monitoring service efficiency, and ensuring compliance with company standards and quality benchmarks. The individual will supervise team members, assist in planning resources, monitor key performance indicators, and prepare routine reports for senior management. Collaboration with internal departments and external partners is essential to resolve operational challenges, enhance workflow efficiency, and maintain client satisfaction. Additional duties include contributing to process improvements, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines, and aiding in the delivery of critical projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven operational and organizational capabilities within logistics, supply chain, or related fields.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including workload coordination and staff development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, with experience interpreting data, monitoring KPIs, and proposing workflow enhancements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across various teams and client interactions.
- Proficiency in common office software such as spreadsheets, presentation tools, and familiarity with ERP or logistics management systems.
- Academic credentials like a bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or similar disciplines are highly advantageous.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or managing large-scale projects within the regional context is preferred.
- Capability to work on-site in Doha with reliability and flexibility in a fast-moving operational environment.
