Role Overview

This position calls for a skilled video podcast editor experienced in both long-form and short-form content across multiple platforms including Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The editor will collaborate closely with producers to create visually dynamic content tailored for social media, focusing on enhancing reach and virality. This role also entails post production responsibilities for both video and audio podcast episodes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive editing of long-form video podcasts, managing tight deadlines and incorporating producer feedback.
• Collaborate with producers to prepare polished podcast episodes suited for distribution across various platforms.
• Create compelling short social media clips suitable for channels like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Ensure the final video products maximize audience engagement by creatively selecting and crafting social clips.
• Manage all stages of video post-production, including footage ingestion, audio cleanup, color correction, and final exports.
• Format and edit videos of varying lengths and formats to meet specific asset requirements.
• Work alongside Associate Director and Senior Editor to maintain schedules and adhere to post-production timelines.
• Coordinate editorial and creative alignment with producers across numerous projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing both short-form social videos and long-form interviews or podcasts.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects.
• Strong grasp of visual storytelling techniques, composition, and typography principles.
• Capability to organize media assets, finalize edits, and manage the entire post-production workflow.
• Familiarity with key framing, multicam editing, and audio post-production methods.
• Experience adhering to brand standards to ensure visual consistency.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
• Up-to-date awareness of social media trends with a proactive approach to innovative editing ideas.
• Background in video editing, media, or graphic design preferred; experience with After Effects and audio engineering is a plus.
• An interest or background in comedy is advantageous.

Compensation and Working Hours

The position offers an hourly wage between 40 and 45 USD, requiring a commitment of up to 20 hours per week.
