Opportunity Overview

The Vice President, Head of Human Resources will spearhead the internal talent and human capital strategies, acting as a strategic partner to partners and deal teams. The role focuses on cultivating a high-performing, engaged workforce through best practices in recruitment, performance evaluation, compensation, leadership growth, and cultural development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive recruiting processes across the firm, collaborating with partners and deal teams to define role requirements and hiring priorities.
  • Develop proactive talent pipelines and maintain partnerships with search agencies.
  • Implement structured interview and assessment processes.
  • Design and manage performance management systems including goal setting, periodic reviews, and ongoing feedback.
  • Create career pathways and development plans to encourage retention and growth.
  • Work with leadership to identify high-potential employees and devise succession plans.
  • Oversee compensation philosophy, benchmarking, and internal pay equity.
  • Manage annual compensation programs encompassing base salary, bonuses, and incentives.
  • Administer competitive benefits programs.
  • Enhance company culture and employee engagement through initiatives and communications.
  • Develop leadership programs for investment and functional leaders.
  • Coordinate firm-wide events including meetings, offsites, and the summer intern program.
  • Oversee HR operations, policies, compliance, and build scalable infrastructure to support growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8 to 15+ years of experience in human resources, talent management, or human capital leadership.
  • Prior experience in private equity, investment firms, or other high-performance professional services preferred.
  • Proven partnership with senior leadership on talent and organizational development strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of recruiting, performance management, compensation, and organizational development.
  • Strong executive presence, excellent judgment, and confidentiality handling sensitive matters.
  • Data-centric, pragmatic, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Base salary of $200,000 annually plus a potential 30% cash bonus, with flexibility for the ideal candidate.
  • Work schedule includes four days per week in the office, located within walking distance of Grand Central and Penn Station in midtown Manhattan.
