About the Role
Acura of Hamilton, a part of the large AutoCanada dealership network, is looking for a Detailer to join their team in Hamilton, Ontario. This full-time role involves meticulously cleaning and detailing vehicles to meet dealership standards, focusing on both interior and exterior finishes to ensure vehicles are showroom ready for customer delivery. The position requires working onsite with immediate hiring available.
Primary Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and detail both interior and exterior of customer vehicles
- Perform tasks such as vacuuming, deodorizing, washing, and wiping down dashboards
- Ensure all vehicle exteriors are spotless and free from smudges
- Apply paint sealants and polish wheels and rims
- Utilize various hand-held detailing tools effectively
- Report any vehicle parts requiring repair or replacement to supervisors or technicians
- Complete quality control checklists to maintain service standards
- Assist with other repair-related duties as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest and knowledge of the automotive industry and vehicles
- Valid driver's license with a clean record; ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Experience with cleaning products and tools, including power washers, is beneficial
- Dependable, reliable, attentive to detail, and capable of effective task prioritization
- Physically able to meet job demands such as heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and using power and hand-held tools
- Strong customer service skills
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
