Van Delivery Executive

Overview

This role focuses on the management and execution of van deliveries involving heavy merchandise, ensuring safe loading, transport, and doorstep delivery while maintaining financial and operational accountability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist with loading large crates and boxed merchandise into delivery vehicles securely, employing straps, nets, and cushioning materials to prevent transit damage.
• Work closely with a delivery helper as a two-person team to move bulky items safely, minimizing injury and product mishandling.
• Deliver goods inside customers' premises, navigating elevators, corridors, and staircases, handling items exceeding 50kg as needed.
• Conduct unboxing and inspection of delivered products before the customer to verify condition and prevent issues.
• Use the official delivery mobile application for route guidance, customer verification, and secure confirmation of deliveries via OTP or signatures.
• Collect and manage Cash on Delivery payments or assist with digital payment methods, reconciling cash daily at the hub.
• Handle returns, trade-ins, and exchanges for heavy products, performing preliminary checks before transporting items back to the warehouse.
• Follow optimized routes using smartphone navigation tools to achieve daily delivery targets within time constraints.
• Collaborate with vehicle drivers to maintain cleanliness, fuel levels, and safe vehicle operation in accordance with traffic laws.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Physically fit with the ability to lift, push, pull, and sustain handling heavy cargo over a 10-12 hour shift.
• Minimum educational qualification: completion of 10th standard or equivalent.
• Experience ranging from no prior experience to up to three years in e-commerce logistics, warehousing, packers-and-movers, or heavy appliance retail logistics; physically fit newcomers encouraged to apply.
• For driver-executives: possession of a valid Indian commercial LMV or HMV driving license with a clean driving record.
• Competent in using Android smartphones to log transactions, capture GPS data, and manage delivery app requirements.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranges from INR 18,000 to INR 35,000 based on role and experience.
