Position Overview

The Valeter role involves maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and preparation within our established rental team. You will be responsible for detailed valeting of vehicles, inspecting and maintaining fluid levels, conducting thorough vehicle checks for defects and service requirements, and managing vehicle handovers with customers to ensure an exceptional service experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform internal and external valeting of vehicles to a professional standard.
• Inspect and adjust fluid levels including fuel, oil, water, and antifreeze.
• Examine vehicles for defects and maintenance needs such as bulbs and tyres.
• Check vehicles in and out for hire, liaising directly with customers.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after hire, recording and reporting any damages or missing parts.
• Guide customers on vehicle operation, including controls and basic car hire procedures.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive rental experience.
• Transport vehicles to and from local garages as required.

Working Hours and Benefits

• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with alternate early finish Fridays.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
• Exemplary telephone communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory as full training will be provided.
