Ultrasound Technologist

Overview

The Ultrasound Technologist will execute ultrasound procedures aimed at capturing anatomical images for diagnostic interpretation and intervention, ensuring the production of superior quality images stored in suitable archival systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound imaging and associated procedures across various ultrasound domains.
• Document patient images using proper archival media and facilitate image transfers as necessary.
• Engage actively in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain detailed quality control logs and participate in regular equipment inspections, testing, and upkeep.
• Collaborate with Radiologists to review patient clinical data alongside images.
• Output images onto designated physical media.
• Provide permanent procedural data when required or requested.
• Uphold departmental Quality Assurance protocols.
• Train new team members on ultrasound technology and internal procedures.
• Implement sterile methods, preserve aseptic conditions, and consistently apply universal precautions.
• Administer immediate first aid to patients until further help is available to safeguard health.
• Follow scheduled on-call, holiday, and weekend duties as organized by the department manager.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
• Comply with professional standards, hospital policies, KSA regulations, and international accreditations such as JCIA and CBAHI.
• Deliver education to patients and families based on individualized needs.
• Take part in routine troubleshooting, diagnose equipment issues, perform minor repairs, and coordinate major repair work as necessary.
• Complete required documentation and keep accurate records, logs, and reports of performed tasks.
• Contribute to person-centered care programs at HMG to enhance patient engagement.
• Foster a compassionate, respectful, and dignified experience for patients.
• Carry out additional related duties matching expertise, skills, and knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasonography.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working within a hospital environment.
