About the Role

This position as an Ubuntu User is a contract-based, remote opportunity where you will contribute to AI data training projects by executing structured tasks with high attention to detail. Your role involves installing applications and logging your actions on your own Ubuntu/Linux system. You do not need in-depth AI knowledge but should possess technical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions accurately while working independently. This position suits students, entry-level candidates, or anyone comfortable with Ubuntu/Linux who is patient and detail-focused. The role offers hourly pay from a growing AI data services company that supports leading AI organizations globally. Your input will directly impact the enhancement of AI systems applied across various industries and products.

Responsibilities

• Carefully follow precise written instructions and procedures.
• Install and operate software tools on an Ubuntu/Linux computer required by the project.
• Review work to avoid errors before submission.
• Detect and report any unclear instructions, inconsistencies, or technical challenges.
• Maintain concentration during repetitive or intricate assignments.
• Complete assigned workload, averaging about 15 hours weekly, within deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with the project team to request assistance when necessary.
• Help improve the quality of AI training data sets.

Requirements

• Access to a personal computer running Ubuntu/Linux operating system.
• Comfortable installing and using required apps and software.
• Technically adept with the ability to follow setup instructions independently.
• Availability for approximately 15 hours per week.
• Patient, focused, and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Ability to carefully follow written directions consistently.
• Competence in basic computer use, including browser-based tools.
• Dependable and responsive with good time management skills.
• Students and junior applicants encouraged to apply.
• Experience in AI data training, annotation, QA, software testing, or research tasks is advantageous but not mandatory.
