Treatment Apartment Program Driver

Overview

The Driver for the Treatment Apartment Program within the Mental Health Housing Services division is responsible for ensuring residents receive safe and dependable transportation to authorized locations while supporting daily program activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles adhering to New York State traffic regulations and agency policies.
• Maintain and follow scheduled transport times.
• Document trips taken and interactions with residents accurately.
• Report any incidents immediately to the appropriate supervisors.
• Demonstrate professionalism and safety consciousness at all times.
• Engage positively with residents to encourage their independence and involvement within the community.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School diploma or GED.
• Some prior experience in driving roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Hold a valid New York State driver's license.

Work Hours and Compensation

This position offers part-time or full-time hours predominantly during evenings and weekends.

The salary ranges from $35,007 to $41,729 annually, or $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.
