Role Overview
We are seeking a Transitions Lead for Procurement/S2P Operations to manage the complete vendor-to-vendor transition of procurement activities. The role involves leading sourcing, contracting, supplier onboarding, catalog/content management, P2P support, and procurement analytics transfers from the current to the new service provider while ensuring smooth continuity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed transition project plans covering phases, dependencies, and milestones with strong governance through PMO reporting, leadership briefings, and risk tracking.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on procurement processes such as sourcing support, contract lifecycle management, supplier onboarding, catalog management, purchase requisition support, procurement compliance, and use of digital procurement tools like Ariba and Vroozi.
- Lead knowledge transfer cycles including shadowing, reverse shadowing, parallel runs, and certification while coordinating SMEs to ensure complete transfer of domain expertise and maintain updated documentation including SOPs, category playbooks, process maps, and compliance guidelines.
- Manage access provisioning and deprovisioning for procurement technologies including SAP Ariba, Vroozi, Sirion, supplier portals, and compliance platforms. Oversee validation activities like mock sourcing events and catalog migration verification.
- Enforce procurement controls ensuring compliance with policies, financial controls, segregation of duties, supplier data integrity, and contract governance. Maintain risk logs, mitigation actions, and audit readiness.
- Serve as primary liaison among procurement teams, sourcing leads, finance, legal, IT, risk units, business stakeholders, and suppliers. Communicate transition-related changes clearly to suppliers and maintain uninterrupted supplier experience.
- Plan and implement cutover activities covering open sourcing events, contracts in approval, pending purchase requisitions, onboarding requests, catalogs, and active workflows. Lead hypercare for 26 weeks post-transition focusing on backlog clearance, cycle time recovery, issue resolution, and SLA stabilization leading to steady-state acceptance and post-implementation reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6 to 10 years of experience in Procurement or Source-to-Pay operations.
- At least 3 years in managing vendor-to-vendor transitions.
- In-depth knowledge of sourcing, contracting, supplier onboarding, and procurement compliance.
- Hands-on experience with procurement tools such as SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Familiarity with procurement controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
Preferred: Experience with global procurement or BPO transitions, certifications like PMP or Lean Six Sigma, and exposure to category management.
