About the Role
As a Trading Analyst at City National Bank, you will be pivotal in ensuring accurate trade settlement, reconciliation, and onboarding of new fixed income brokers. Your work will support interval fund processes, resolve settlement discrepancies, and oversee daily monitoring of account balances.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and investigate any suspicious or incorrect trade orders.
- Coordinate with external bond brokers to confirm fixed income trade allocations are properly recorded on both sides.
- Review and reconcile trade reports to confirm correct execution and booking.
- Conduct compliance checks by compiling and randomly auditing trades for best execution prices; review MSRB, CAT OATS, and TRACE trade reports; verify trade confirmations for precision.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new fixed income brokers.
- Collaborate with custodians and outside bond brokers to address settlement challenges.
- Support interval fund processing activities.
- Perform daily verification of firm account balances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational background required.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience working with investment management firms, hedge funds, or broker-dealers.
- Minimum of 2 years proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a starting annual salary ranging from $71,869 to $114,797, with actual pay contingent upon skills, experience, and location. Eligibility for bonuses and commissions is included.
