About the Role
Join MetLife's Global Customer Service and Operations team to provide trusted, empathetic, and innovative support to customers. In this position, you'll contribute to delivering exceptional service by managing total absence claims efficiently and accurately, helping millions through significant life moments with operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review claims related to the Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations as well as company policies.
- Develop and implement workflow processes for claims, evaluate eligibility against appropriate leave plans, and make sound initial claim decisions.
- Conduct eligibility verification during intake calls and collect necessary information from employees or integrated systems.
- Perform necessary leave follow-ups such as health condition recertifications, intermittent claim tracking, and return-to-work confirmations.
- Maintain accurate system updates reflecting current leave statuses and ensure diary documentation is complete and current.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma.
- At least one year of relevant experience with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and meticulous attention to detail.
This role emphasizes exceptional customer communication and service while processing claims efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Prior knowledge of FMLA/ADA claims and procedural familiarity is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary ranges from $41,600 to $52,500, with eligibility for annual short-term incentives and stock-based long-term rewards aligned with company plans.
