Role Overview
The Territory Development Supervisor will be responsible for driving sales, distribution, and execution within the assigned territory in Asir, Saudi Arabia. This position combines field leadership, customer relationship management, operational control, and market analysis to support business growth across all brand categories.
Sales and Distribution
- Deliver sales performance against targets for every brand range covered in the assigned territory.
- Broaden distribution by improving numeric and weighted reach across trade channels such as TT, ET, SSV, wholesale, and related outlets.
- Help sustain volume growth and contribute to initiatives that strengthen market share.
- Monitor stock availability closely and take action to reduce out-of-stock and expiry issues.
Team Leadership and Coaching
- Create SMART targets for sales representatives and review progress on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Build frontline capability through joint field visits, route observation, practical demonstrations, and individual feedback sessions.
Field Execution
- Spend significant time in the market to understand customer expectations and ensure trade standards are followed.
- Oversee delivery preparedness, stock rotation, merchandising, point-of-sale placement, and equipment handling.
- Keep complete and current records of all coolers in the territory, including serial numbers, model details, installation dates, and outlet ownership information.
Operations and Reporting
- Handle territory operations such as depot control, inventory availability, and cash/stock reconciliation according to company guidelines.
- Build sales forecasts, account plans, business reviews, and performance dashboards for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Monitor customer credit exposure and temporary credit used by sales staff in the field.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify important clients and pursue opportunities that can expand the business.
- Maintain productive relationships with retailers, food outlets, and key accounts to support long-term growth.
- Coordinate with sales, supply chain, logistics, marketing, commercial, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution.
Market Intelligence
- Continuously review the market for competitor pricing, promotions, and activity, and share findings with line management.
- Study market movements, customer requirements, and territory performance to spot improvement opportunities.
Additional Information
This position requires both leadership in the field and active customer-facing work. The focus is on meeting territory sales goals, improving route effectiveness, coaching team members, solving problems proactively, and supporting company initiatives.
Requirements
- A university degree in Business Management is required.
- Relevant experience of 3 to 5 years in beverage, bottling, or FMCG environments is needed.
- Strong spoken and written English is essential; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
- Practical experience with CRM tools and MS Office 2010 or newer is expected; familiarity with SAP is beneficial.
- The candidate should be comfortable working under pressure, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Understanding of statistical process control and problem-solving methods is required.
- The ideal candidate should demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, collaboration, ethical conduct, and integrity.
