Role Overview
Join Hilton in Doha as a Telephone Operator and help keep communication flowing smoothly across the hotel. In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for both guests and internal teams, ensuring calls, messages, and requests are handled accurately, promptly, and with a warm hospitality mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls from both outside callers and hotel colleagues.
- Route callers to the right room, extension, or department, and confirm the guest’s last name for room-related calls.
- Assist guests with directions and other information they need during their stay.
- Open and close tickets based on guest or staff requests.
- Coordinate with hotel employees to support guests whenever help is needed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with every caller.
- Record and write messages with correct spelling and grammar.
- Confirm names and phone numbers to avoid mistakes.
- Respond appropriately to urgent situations and emergencies affecting guests or the hotel.
- Work with management and/or security to guide the right response calmly and effectively.
- Document all emergency incidents properly.
- Handle supportive tasks as assigned, depending on business needs and supervisor direction.
- Use fax equipment to send and receive guest documents when required.
- Notify guests of received items through the computer system.
- Arrange repair or technical support for computer-based equipment when needed.
