Role Overview
We are seeking a proficient PDI Technician to join our Auckland-based team. This hands-on position involves the assembly, fitting, inspection, testing, and commissioning of new Komatsu equipment to ensure each machine is fully prepared and meets customer expectations before delivery.
The role involves working with a comprehensive range of construction, utility, and mining equipment. Responsibilities range from installing optional local accessories to performing functional testing and final quality checks to meet Komatsu’s stringent standards and specific customer requirements.
Work Schedule and Location
This position is located at our Auckland Branch in East Tamaki with a standard work roster of Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Candidate Profile
- Qualified Tradesperson in Heavy Diesel, Automotive, or Mechanical fields
- Proven experience with heavy construction, mining, agricultural, or earthmoving equipment
- Strong mechanical skills accompanied by effective fault diagnosis abilities
- Competency in reading and applying technical manuals and installation instructions
- Dedication to safety standards and quality workmanship
- Good communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
- Customer-focused with a commitment to excellent service delivery
- Keen interest in continuous learning and advancing professional skills
