Role overview

BDO RISE is seeking an experienced Technical Projects Manager to lead facility and construction-focused initiatives, along with related infrastructure work involving server, network, and security teams. The role calls for strong coordination across internal stakeholders, external vendors, and project partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Support vendor identification and management for IT-related contractors such as low-voltage, audiovisual, physical security, and sound masking providers.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams on construction needs and tracking for space, power, cooling, hardware, and telecommunications.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base documentation when required.
  • Resolve delays, urgent issues, and other project blockers through practical problem-solving.
  • Ensure work follows safety standards, building regulations, and applicable legal requirements.
  • Translate contractual and technical topics into clear, understandable communication.
  • Build budgets, cost estimates, schedules, and timelines for assigned projects.
  • Provide project leadership across justification, planning, implementation, and quality assurance testing.
  • Set deadlines, delegate responsibilities, track progress, and report status updates.
  • Develop and sustain productive relationships with project members, vendors, and cross-functional departments.
  • Prepare scope documents, statements of work, and supporting project documentation.
  • Guide project teams to keep work controlled and delivered on schedule.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to define resources, expected effort, and task duration.
  • Follow BDO Project Management Office processes, as well as firm and department policies.
  • Handle additional administrative tasks, including telecommunications ordering and billing, as needed.

Qualifications and experience

  • BE or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management is required.
  • Construction management experience is preferred.
  • Prior internship exposure in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Experience in a professional services environment is preferred.
  • Professional in Project Management (PPM) certification is preferred.

Tools and technical knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exposure to project planning applications is preferred.
  • Experience with ServiceNow PPM modules is preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio for design/layer creation is preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat is preferred.

Additional skills and working conditions

  • Ability to work beyond standard business hours when required.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Strong time management and work estimation skills for construction-related tasks.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, contracts, and blueprints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
