Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Technical Project Manager specialized in Cybersecurity to direct and deliver enterprise-wide cybersecurity projects across various business, IT, and operational technology sectors. The ideal candidate must manage complex cybersecurity engagements, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, align project deliverables, and ensure cybersecurity implementations meet all specified requirements.
This position demands a robust combination of project leadership, technical cybersecurity expertise, stakeholder communication, and organizational skills to successfully execute project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of cybersecurity projects from initiation through testing and commissioning phases.
- Oversee delivery of multiple cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring alignment to project scope and goals.
- Maintain oversight of project timelines, dependencies, risks, and issue logs, delivering consistent updates to the program management office.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, respecting scope, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Drive the implementation of a portfolio of cybersecurity solutions including SIEM, PAM, Endpoint Security (XDR), Web and Email Security Gateways, OT/IoT Intrusion Detection, NAC, NDR, Centralized Network Monitoring, Patch Management for IT and OT, Deception Technologies, Vulnerability Management, SOAR, Sandboxing, Secure Configuration Management, Asset and Ticketing Management, Security Dashboards and Orchestration Platforms, and security testing through Grey and Black Box assessments.
- Collaborate closely with security architects and engineers to verify technical requirements are met effectively.
- Serve as the principal contact among internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Translate complex cybersecurity technicalities into accessible language for senior leadership.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage cybersecurity risks associated with projects ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Support audit processes and remediation efforts.
- Manage third-party vendors and consultants, overseeing contractual obligations and delivery standards.
- Efficiently allocate and coordinate both internal and external resources to maintain project momentum.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Master’s degree is advantageous.
- Professional certifications: PMP and CISSP are mandatory.
- At least 10 years’ experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Minimum 5 years in project management specifically handling cybersecurity programs.
- Proven ability in budgeting, timeline management, and leading cross-functional teams in large-scale cybersecurity initiatives.
Technical Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as NCSA, Qatar Cybersecurity Framework 2022, and IEC 62443.
- Strong grasp of network security architectures and cloud platforms including Azure and Google Cloud.
- Experience in security operations, incident response, identity and access management, vulnerability management, threat monitoring, and compliance requirements.
Project Management Skills
- Expertise in various methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.
