About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager for a 9-month contract (maternity cover) located in Dublin with hybrid working options. The role involves leading the delivery of advanced platform capabilities focusing on enterprise-scale payment and network solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture teams, and global stakeholders to take innovative ideas through to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of technical product initiatives from initial requirements gathering to release.
- Translate business goals into detailed epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Architecture to design scalable, robust technical solutions.
- Prioritize and maintain product backlogs, plan sprints, and oversee feature delivery to meet deadlines.
- Lead technical solution design sessions ensuring products meet key scalability, reliability, and performance objectives.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation such as sequence diagrams, API specs, and product manuals.
- Coordinate delivery timelines and plans across various engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Drive backlog refinement, feature estimation, defect resolution, and release preparedness.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance during product rollout and support phases.
- Continuously seek and implement improvements to delivery processes, product features, and overall customer satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in Technical Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business Analysis with a strong technical focus.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and contemporary development methodologies.
- Experience with enterprise application integration and middleware technologies.
- Familiarity with ISO 20022 and/or ISO 8583 messaging standards related to payment systems.
- Worked across full-stack applications encompassing front-end, back-end services, and data platforms.
- Background in enterprise-level payment systems or environments handling high transaction volumes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop detailed epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Comfortable operating in Agile/Scrum frameworks with cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
- Skilled in planning, monitoring, and delivering complex technical projects.
- Good comprehension of system architecture, integrations, APIs, data flow, and application interdependencies.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
